Jinan Deming Power Equipment Co, Ltd. has completed commissioning of a 100 MW energy storage power station in Heze, Shandong Province, one of the larger grid-side storage facilities on the Chinese mainland to use PCS technology manufactured entirely in Shandong.
The project leverages Deming’s bidirectional PCS (Power Conversion System) technology to provide frequency regulation, peak shaving, and voltage support to the surrounding provincial grid. The storage cabinets were assembled at the company’s Lixia District factory and shipped in 250 kW and 500 kW modular units for on-site integration by the EPC contractor.

Engineering Approach
Deming supplied the full bidirectional PCS chain — from the IGBT-based inverter stage to the EMS gateway, transformer, and SCADA integration. Each cabinet supports CAN / Modbus / IEC 61850 communication, enabling remote dispatch control from the provincial grid operator’s control center.
Cabinets were configured for parallel operation across multiple bays, allowing the system to ramp from standby to full 100 MW charge or discharge within 200 milliseconds — meeting the strict frequency-response requirements of the regional grid code.
Manufacturing & Delivery
All PCS modules were manufactured at Deming’s Lixia District (Jinan) facility, supported by the company’s ISO 9001 quality system. Each cabinet underwent 72-hour burn-in testing before shipment. The full 100 MW system was delivered in phased shipments over 90 working days, aligned with the EPC’s site readiness schedule.
